Strokes of Genius 2: The Best of Drawing Light and Shadow
We are pleased to announce the Call for Entries for the second edition of the highly acclaimed collection, Strokes of Genius, The Best of Drawing.

“It is only by drawing often, drawing everything, drawing incessantly, that one fine day you discover to your surprise that you have rendered something in its true character.” ~ Camille Pissarro

Selection Process--All submissions will be reviewed by the Rachel Wolf and the editorial staff of North Light Books. Art will be selected on the basis of general quality as well as suitability for this publication. A range of mediums will be included. At least 50% of the book will be black-and-white artwork. We are also looking for a range of “finish,” from quick contour sketches to carefully rendered drawings with a full range of values. A fully saturated pastel or colored pencil “painting” may not be considered eligible for this book (at the discretion of the editor). There is no specification for subject matter. Entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2008.
