Hello!  I want to have a booth at an art fair this summer in my town.  I want to purchase a canopy and some kind of portable walls to hang my paintings on.  Does anyone have an idea of where I could purchase walls of some kind?  Thanks.

Hi Tam,

I've been doing outdoor festivals for quite a few years so I've done several different kinds of walls. I started out with metal grid panels that are covered in vinyl. Mine were white. I purchased mine from a place in Portland, Oregon where I live called Grand & Benedicts, http://www.grand-benedicts.com/. They supply mostly to retailers. I'm sure your could find these in your area. The grid panels can be configured in many different ways according to your booth layout and the kind and size of work you are planning on displaying. They are fairly reasonable in price, but still and investment. At the time, they were cheaper than buying materials and making my own walls out of wood. This is an option of course, but time consuming and the end product is heavy and bulky.

Another, more costly option is ProPanels, http://www.propanels.com/. They are wonderful. Sharp for displaying your work and lightweight.

Best of luck with your show!
