Does anyone have any good information you might want to share on the business of starting a co-op Gallery with other artists.   We have access to a building, that is zoned "business".   But we don't know where to start.   Anyone know any good books to look at, websites that have proven useful, or any other good hints.   Help!   and Thanks!

Hi Gene,
I thought you knew that the gallery I belong to is a co-op gallery.
Here's our website. Take a look. http://www.theartistsgallery.com/
Everyone takes turns working the store. The people that still have day jobs
like me work 1 Saturday a month. We currently have 23 artists of all levels of talent
and areas of expertise.

All the best,
Jim

A good book for legal agreements and knowing the laws is "The Law in Plain English for Galleries" by DuBoff. I would try to contact other co-op galleries for advice as well, even by e-mail, I'm sure they would be helpful.
