Well here is my take on the spiral/coil/helix. Painting is done in acrylics on a 4x6 inch canvas.

Spiral Dance - I'm starting May off with my entry in the contest. It was made starting with basic spiral shapes and then using filters and colors digitally. Hope you enjoy it.

Spiral Dance. Truly digestible. Don't usually go for modern but I like this. Seems like you should be spinning into an some kind of ad on TV. Yes, I like it.

Spiral Latte - This is my very first posting. The barista at my local coffee shop is quite an artist. I painted this watercolor from a snapshot I took right before my first sip.

It has been a while since I have done any art. To get myself in the creative mode. I started to doodle with color pencil. I just drew mindlessly and this is the rersult. Done on 10x13" Liberty drawing paper.

This is my first submission.  This was something I did for an online colored pencil class.

Hi Holly,

This is my first time on the Artists Forum and I am submitting a copy of my 18" x 24" oil painting of  "Black-Necked Swan" for the Super Spirals Paint-off Challenge.  I hope the spirals and whorls that I painted into the water around the swan will qualify for consideration.

Hi, I paint in a style I call swirls which is mainly lines and spirals. Here is a sample of a recent oil painting, size 42x52. More can be seen at www.albionarts.com.

Thanks, Stan Chraminski

As I was contemplating the subject of this challenge I just happend to look down at my studio desk and see several tubes of paint and my solution to the challenge hit me...It was just that simple...This is a miniature (6"x6"), oil on canvas.  I hope you like it.

"Kaliedescope"         8 1/2" x 11" Colored Pencil

I find myself often immersed in the connectedness of nature and how everything melds together. This drawing started at the center with blues, and greens spiraling out then into one another. The colors are symbolic of sky, water and grass. The fascination of kaliedscopic images combined with nature are my ultimate inspiration.

I want to submit a painting to this challenge, but can't find the message attachment button that is supposed to be after scrolling past "body". I'm on a Mac. Is that a problem? I have tried both Safari and Firefox.

Thanks,

Martha,
I'm using Safari1.3.2 on a Mac and was able to attach my file. Make sure you are using "Add Reply" and not in the Quick Reply. The Add Reply button is just under the last post in the topic.
I hope that helps :-)

This is unlike any painting I have ever done before.  I am new to this forum and hope you enjoy my painting.  This painting also contains the chorus to a song that I wrote and represents the incense of our worship rising to heaven.  Hope you like it!
