Hi - would anyone be able to tell me how to paint - in watercolour -  a "bloom" on fruit - ie: such as on plums.

You may like to have a look at my updated website on www.florapaint.co.uk

Thanks, Elvira

HI - I know - you posted this question a wile ago - I haven't been in this Tech talk section for months. "Bloom" or velvety fuzz can be achieved with (very) dry brushing with a slightly lighter tone of the color of the fruit. If your work is very loose you might want to underlay with a gesso texture created with a toothbrush and sanded to your liking. Or not. Try, experiment and mess around!! Something useful always pops out.
