These are some graphite pencil drawings that I did a few years ago. They are 14" in diameter. I have heard lots of comments about them, good and bad,but I would like comments from some AN artists.

Another set with lots of stories. Very creative also with good values and composition.

Very nice. They jump out at you. I like the wrench in the 2nd one, nice touch.

rather facinating!.....sometimes when we digi photo or scan the graphite tends to lose some of the midtones....is the original piece this sharply contrasted?
i adore dark bgs so this is right up my alley....hehee.....

Jim, I have been asked frequently if I was on drugs when I drew them. (jokingly, of course) thanks for your comments...... one who sees..actually these are fairly accurate representations of the originals...there is some slight loss of some of the very subtle shading. Thanks for your comments.....Also thanks for the comments from heather and Jeremy Robards.

The format you used reminds me of looking through those old microscopes that we used to use in school.

Yes, they were done for fun. But it was a lot of work.

Wow! I wasn't sure if you had designed them for something in particular or did them just for fun. I bet a great great deal of time went into planning them out. Most admirable- just lovely!

Ron, what a view, if this was from a dream I hope I don't have any like that?, either way very good art! I like all three! They have good contrast to them!

The inspiration for these drawings was from the works of Salvador Dali. I know they don't resemble his work and they were not intended to. And they weren't the result of dreams, but I believe that a lot of Dali's work actually was........Thanks for the positive comments.

Ron, I find it unfortunate that graphite works do not get the credit they deserve, unless they are part of a famous artists body of work..., these are really wonderful! Outstanding! I saw Dali in them, but they are still uniquely yours! these would make wonderful giclee prints... I gotta feeling if you pick up those pastels again you will put us all to shame!

Reminds me of paper sculptures. The contrast is a bit off in the picture making it hard to exactly pick out the forms, but I think it is due to the digital format. Nice work!
