On this piece also, I would make sure that value and line thickness variation were used to make it more interesting to view. As it is the eyes tend to hurry over the piece and can't find the point of interest....good start though!

There is too much of the same value in this. Even around his/her eyes, there is very little variation in value. I just feel tht the piece looks a bit flat and if you used more variation in your line weight and/or values it would show more form....just my opinion.
