Haven't submitted for quite a while. Just aren't enough hours in a day.
Have been working on this for a while but the only time I have is usually over my lunch hour.

These are just lovely! I can see that you enjoy portraying roses. I do as well... in fact, I have a real on sitting in front of me at this very moment.
Gorgeous color- so delicate. Excellent work!

ssw,
Thanks for the kind words & yes, I do love roses! I am anxiously waiting for my minature rose bush to bloom, however, it will probably be delayed by last night's frost.

Think I may have messed this up....not quite ready to give up. If anyone has a suggestion, I would appreciate the help. These pencils are quite different & I haven't quite got them figured them out.

nice work, I haven't had much time over the last few months and am trying to catch up on all that I've missed--beautiful roses. --m

Thanks, Margaret. I haven't completely given up on it but perhaps it would be a good time to set it aside for a while. Getting quite frustrated with it.

Not sure how you think they have been messed up - looking pretty good to me! My only comment (for what it is worth and not a criticism) maybe the leaves are a little too yellow for the lovely softness of the pinks (a cooler blue green may suit better?). It could be how they appear on screen as this sometimes distorts colour, but other than that I am really impressed as roses can be so hard to get right. Don't give up them - we want to see them finished!

virgo, the yellow was the result of applying too much wet to them....now, i have no way to soften them. I have been trying to darken the rest up to try to compensate but it has taken a turn for the worse. Will try to post a follow up soon.

Well, no time like the present to update you. I am really not thrilled with the way these are going.

That came out really small. I'll try again.
