My latest... graphite, 8x11. It was fun to just really enjoy being "myself" while drawing this picture. This one's going to competitions this summer... |

| Thank you! I love the beautiful values and 3D feeling that one can obtain through pencils. I love being able to really make the pictures glow with a realistic life. |

| Great drawing - everything looks great, but particularly impressed by the hands! I always find hands to be one of the hardest areas to get right and these look fantastic! How long have you been drawing people? Good luck with the competitions. |

Thanks, virgo68! Yeah, hands are one of those things that are time consuming and challenging, but they're also one of my favorites to do! My focus has been on portraits for a good four years now. I decided that realiststic portraiture was kind of a "lost art" in the artistic world in alot of areas, so I've dedicated most of my time to that. It's so fulfilling! You yourself have excellent skill with the pencil, as well! Keep it up!! |

This is lovely! I like the oval mirror/picture frame or whatever surrounding the body. Very nice!

Thank you, Gene! The backround actually arose from trying to be creative without spending alot of time of an intricate backround. The roses were just for fun- they add some interest and feminine beauty, I guess. |
