My idea for this was to do some fabulous climbing tree...but I started this to close to the corner of my paper.......quite disappointed

This measures 4x4

I see nothing to be dissappointed in!  It is wonderful.  The shadows are so real I can feel the breese through the tree branches!  Keep up the GOOD work!

Rosie, like the use of soft and hard edges and they way you've brought focus to the figure. Had you considered strengthening the outstretched shoe seeing as it is the closest part of the figure to the viewer? Not a criticism, just trying to pick your brain!!

Virgo68,
Softly, I want it soft...
the shoe? aaaa nah, you know personal taste says, nah leave it go.
Could of put more leaves in front, but, nah.....
The truth is I am happy with this little drawing and disappointed at the same time and currently working on a commission and 3 other things I want to do.
But thanks for the comment. And probably will consider it. Just because you said something. Darn you.
See you later,
Rosie

Sorry! Wasn't second-guessing you but I like picking people's brains to see how they got to the result they got! Being largely self-taught, I like to really look at how others put their work together and study pictures in books etc to learn a bit more. Was just relishing the chance to contact the artist and ask how and why they did it! Glad to hear you are busy - would be a shame to let your talent go to waste. Good luck with the current WIP, cheers Jackie

Jackie, I am also a self-taught artist.
So many "!" hope I didn't upset you.

Course not Rosie, it's cool - thought you may have felt it was a criticism rather an attempt at gaining info! Look forward to seeing more your work, Jackie
