Cooooooool! Very well done, as usual, Rosie. It's a mazing how the paint looks aged and I really like the comp!

Thanks Mike,
You were my inspiration...or I guess what you said about how cars are hard to do...Made me want to try it. Yes they are hard to do, 2 hours on the lihgts...where I had most the fun. Thanks for the unknowing challenge you gave me...I needed that.

Well now, I said that they were hard for me...I think that's what I said?
Obviously you have absolutely no problem with them... I don't believe anything that you would choose to draw would be a challenge for you Rosie, but you are welcome!

Charlie,
Thank-you very much for the cars.....I'm looking for trucks...I will keep these tho. I never get rid of great reference photos.
My dad had a 50 ford truck when he ran the dirt tracks, racing the ole' fliing 8..I can see him leaning on the fender, one leg crossed, sleeves rolled up pit pass stapled to one, smoking camel non filters. Every Saturday night thru 50 summers. (half way thru they went to asphalt)

Thanks Michele,
This is a good one, I have one of an old grocery truck (has only the lettering left on it, all the rest is rust).
Yes, it is very nice to compare thoughts and to see what others are doing....I have been talking for years of getting a website...last week I took a wall in the apartment and used it like a story board tryn' to get a visual of the site...but stopped. I am getting a little closer than just talk. And I went thru my stacks of drawings to get ready to go into a few more galleries, but got side tracked with coming acrossed ideas that were started...and oh well, there went that day off.
Things are slowing down at work and the incouragement I get from the forum, I should be able to get these things done.
Thanks again, Michele

Rosie...I'll put a picture of the main street of the town I live in...I know several gallery owners...and they're not alllllll snoots...one is especially sweet and I know she'd take a look at anyone who feels ready. You're pencil drawings lend themselves so well to signed prints that it might give her a nice 'price niche' that she needs (instead of having all big paintings that people tend to want a lot for). Everyone is not a 'collector'...some folks just want some art for the joy it brings.

Michele,
I'll have to get out the map...Newtown?...Looks quaint...I Look on line at they're chamber of commerce.
I'm in Trucksville, just 3 minutes from the valley of cities, Wilkes-barre and Scranton stretch.
There are so many towns and borrows in this area I was surprised at first, I'm used to having space between them.
Someone at work said that Jim Throope was an artsy town.
I had a man call me from back home last night wanting to gather artist for a gallery opening in March...but he's talkin about renting spaces and I don't want that. I'm going to see if a friend can represent me at his meeting. See whats up, I don't think it sounds good for the artist tho.

Yes...it's down an hour (or two?) below you. Right where the river makes a sharp bend in NJ but on the Pa side. Just thought I'd show you...didn't know if you had many gallerys in your area.

Rosie is there anything you can't draw exceptionally well? You would do well in any gallery! Wonderful work! Bill

Rosie,

As long as you are investigating galleries as far south as Newtown, check the ones out in New Hope, PA and directly across the river in Lambertville, NJ. These are both very artsy towns with a lot of galleries. They get the New York crowd especially in the Spring and Fall. The streets are so crowded you can hardly walk them. Great place for artists!
