I thought maybe I should post this picture of me separate from the first one I posted. This was finished last night. I used powder graphite and a paint brush to do the detail work of the skin tones. Tried very hard to get darker darks in this one.

Hey, I forgot to add this was from a photo 2 years ago and I was 35 pounds heavier. So I have to brag about the weight loss.

Nice work, photographic quality, a little unclear with the left side of the neck and hair, it seems to flow together to give the impression of a large neck. The right side looks much better in comparison to the left.

Thanks for all your reviews. I did really struggle w/th left side. The picture I used was not very clear. After I scanned it I could see it much better. But I don't know that I can fix it now.

I have looked at the original several times. It doesn't really look how this scanned it in. I was holding my grandson so I was turned somewhat to the side. My hair was kind of messy on that side and on the original drawing - it actually has hair flowing in that direction (down the left side). In the scanned it appears to be my shoulder showing through. I think I can darken this area and maybe pull out some more lights to show this should be my hair showing and not my shoulder. Vella
