Hi!!

I am very new at evening thinking I am an artist. 2 years ago I decided I always wanted to draw so why not! After picking up a book to teach me some basics I was soon trying lots more. My daughter praises my work and gives me tons of encouragement. If not for my husband and daughter, I might not have pursued this much. But not I can't get enough. When you reach 54 years of age it is hard to change your ways. Since my daughter was my inspiration I chose her picture to post. I have several others I like better, but I don't have them here at work - YET!

Any comments would be appreciated (although scary!!)

Vella,
Looks like you have something there, your daughter is very pretty.
Like to see some more.

Thanks Rosie, I will scan the one I just completed last night of me and try to post either tonight or tomorrow. I actually think it is the best I have done. My granddaughter (13) loves art as well and is taking classes through school. She told me I needed more definition (darker darks), so I tried it on this one and I really like it better. Also have learned to use powdered graphite with a brush on this one and it is a lot easier to get facial tones the way I want them.

the pciture of your daughter is very nice. I agree with Rosie--keep on drawing. You retained the youthfulness in your daughter's face that is very lovely.
