I've been using this program for years and suddenly, it's become corrupted. What happens is: I am using a brush....when I go to change the size of the brush (not THE brush/just size) then the brush ITSELF is Deleted and my Intuos Pen begins to draw with a scattered kind of line, dots and bumps.....this is resolved when I go back and again, select the brush I need to use. But it keep, happening http://forum.artistsnetwork.com/DesktopModules/NTForums/images/emoticons/blush.gif and this, just can't go on !!!! I have, reset the program as well...a number of times. Any one know the answer for this?!!! Thank You, CynD

When all other avenues fail, uninstall the software and reinstall it.

You might want to re-install your Intuos driver before you re-install Photoshop.

I recommend what the others have told you as well. Re install the software. Maybe a driver is missing. You may be able to get updates online. There may be and online chat with the company that could walk you through your problem. I just download*CS2* as a trail program. It is a powerful application. If yours is a trial version it may have went corrupt when the trail is up. Hard to say. If I find something I will let you know. Good luck

Hello & my thanks to those that wrote in some ideas. The problem was the PEN, and just needed to replace the tip/point and blow into it (kitty hair me thinks !). Now wish to ask: Have CS 2 and wish to know: can one, make the leap forward to 4 "upgrade" or is there any, reason, to got to 3 first. Can't imagine why but then I ask 'out there' to those who have higher level of experience. The upgrades are even too expensive for me, so I need to save/save/save...unless one can find, someone, somewhere, that wd be wiling to 'give their #3 IF they have already gone on to #4. ??? I am designing now for Greeting Cards having to put my pastels and watercolours aside for now. IS there any "place" where one can look for "Donations" of say the -above-mentioned topic or a Tutorial for the Photoshop/that someone very savvy does not need* any longer? Ask only due to circumstances: fixed income/disabled/or would not think of asking these questions. I have found that ART has absolutely saved my life; the thrill I derive from the colours and the whole "magic show" that "just happens" is such a miracle ! Blessings, Ciao Cynthia

You don't say what version of windows you are using! If it is Vista, then all kinds of things can happen. So if it keepsup and all fails try XP. I have all kinds of trouble with Vista. In most cases it is a bad driver. so look on the site and see if there is a new driver. PC Compute has a small driver program that searches for the best drivers for you. I know that I don't like to reinstall all of my programs when this happens. Aother thing is to call up yhe company of the pen or Adobe and see if they know what to do before you reinstall. Gerald R.
