my mother (the owner of this account) wouldn't let me on the coumputer unless i posted somthing here. soooo.....

it's just a lil' ten minute doodle i did to illustrate my opinion on 'goldfish bowls' it's called 'pull the plug'. it's nothing special, mostly just a photo with a crappy photoshop filter over it and some doodles with a tablet on top.

thanks for looking, i am now free to go about my own buiness on the computer.

Hi Rachel,
If we strongly feel about something that we think is wrong it will never change if we don't speak up. A neat piece of art flowing from a strong opinion refined by an idea into a simple statement. It makes your point.

Rachel, I beileve that you have created a very captivating piece. You started out wth a simple, but strong drawing and the filter added additional interest (I love what the filter did!) But I'm equally impressed that you took a subject you feel strongly about and found a way to illustrate it. Tha'ts not always easy to portray.

Don't hate me for it, but I hope your mom makes you do more postings.

ok, the so to prevent any confusion i didn't draw this. it started with a photo taken from one of the goldfish bowl concepts of Roger Arquer. the bowls are all horrible situations to put any fish in, and many of the perpetuate rumors that supposedly make fish bowls acceptable. even as the intellectual concepts that he is trying to pass them off as, they fall short; he seems to think he is more creative and witty than he is. at best they are good photographs. so that doodle is just a annoyed scribble i did over top of his photography.

what is did was take his photo of what he calls "don't piss me off" and rearrange it in photoshop so it looks as if the plug had been pulled. then i stuffed it though a photoshop filter (can't remember which one, prolly paint dabs or something) and scribbled a sad fishy on top. i'm afraid the fish doesn't mesh with the rest of the image (if i had put it through the same filter it would have become a blob).

...it's a good thing 'm not in public school, you can imagine what i would do to some poor kid's class pres poster. XP lol. i'm actually not usually that critical of other peoples stuff, it just really bothers me when someone thinks they can ignore the well being of a living creature for the sake of 'art'.
