Amazing talent amongst this site. So Feeling a little "noivce" like I tread ahead trying out Corel and tiny ist bit of photoshop CS2.

2 questions I have.....

1)   I'm currently involved in a commission to developing from  a terrible quality photo then transform into  drawing/painting. Probably to print up to 20" x 24" size. I've already had one print of another piece printed 8" x8" . Sad to see the resolution not spot on. So please Help!

Here's one of my beginning paintings from an original drawing I did.

2) Also if I want to add my own image hose images ....how do I do that???

Thank you so much

Saz

I work at a print shop, so I can tell you what we prefer. When printing on press, 300 ppi (pixels per inch) at full size. When printing to a large format inkjet printer, 200 ppi at full size is what we use. Some times with the later, a lower resolution can be used because the inkjet is more forgiving, but not 72, which is monitor screen resolution. Hope this helps. I'm not quite sure what you mean in your second question. lovely digital paintings. I really like the double face image.

I prefer to work in very high res - generally 6000 at the widest point (300 dpi) and save original as psd, upload file as non compressed tiff. It is always easier to size down when you're finished. I'll start a topic a post a few of my new works.
