This is my introductory digital painting. I joined a couple of months ago. Abstract expressionism is my primary interest, with occasional trips into minimalism & surrealism. All constructive critiques, opinions, and suggestions are welcome.

I have been doing digital painting for almost 3 years. And hope to try oil painting sometime this year. I use Photoshop almost exclusively, although I have Corel Painter, Adobe Illustrator, and Corels Suite of programs. I have found I like photoshop the best. Sometimes I use ArtRage with PS. Thank you for taking a look at my painting.

I'm not always a fan of digital art, but these definitely show the artistic quality of the medium. In fact, they really look like abstract oil paintings. What are they printed on? Canvas? Paper? I'll be sure to look for your postins in the future..........Gene

Thank you very much for your comments, Gene. I appreciate you taking time to let me know what you think. Being new, I was beginning to think my work wasn't good enough for this site.

I haven't printed these. My computer isn't really powerful enough to do large images. I am going to be getting a new MacPro soon, affectionately called the rocket at my home. Then, I will be able to produce print quality and size large enough for sale. I've gathered some print information in preparation for that.

My next focus will be to start trying to do oil painting, which is why I joined this site. I thought I could receive some helpful critiques and other information as a beginner in that medium. I will still do digital art as well.

Regards,
Suzanne
