Created in photoshop, this one I later painted in acrylic and it turned out great.  Shown here is the original digital creation.

The acrylic work is 9" x 9", with a 6" x 6" white border (15" x 15" overall), but I'm going to do it large also.  Needs to be large, don't you think? Thanks for your comments.

Definitely, the bigger the better as it's so defined. It needs to strike people between the eyes. What's your website address?

Wow, lots! I like the first site, and the work on there. I clicked through to proseandcons, the words site is a nice idea, a different way to showcase work - very novel indeed! And I thought I was busy!

Is the aurelia ancep available on canvas? love it.

Aurelia Anceps was, originally, a 22x30 poster I designed for the Botanical Gardens at a Scientific Institute I worked for in Mexico 25  years ago. It was reproduced and widely distributed at that time for PR purposes. The original 8.5x11 pen-and-ink "study" is in my portfolio. that's the one I used for the gift site. Original poster was painted but  was stolen  when I shipped my things to the States from Mexico. I can make prints of this work at this time.

Thanks for taking a 'peek' at my sites.

That's a shame, about the original. I truly despise when things go missing - I like to hold on to things until I decide they should go, not someone else!!

Keep posting here it has been lovely to see your sites and just how much work goes into running your own business!

Thank you again, Loubycee.   Speaking of 'busy', I've been too much of it to post anything lately.  Wish I could tell you the work is paying off, but I'm spending a lot of time looking for that "day job" to keep my head above water.  I just  keep opening new doors for my art - getting my name out in cyber space is only one part of it.  ...one day IT WILL PAY OFF... That's my hope.  At least now all I have to tell people is to "google" or "dog pile" my name and a whole lot of 'stuff' comes up..just part of my plan.

Happy painting to you.

Exactly, that is what it's all about - not being to reserved to almost force your name into the heads of people that are interested, telling people to google your name really will get you a good name, because they can then go off, do their own research, then come back to your site!

Good plan!

My main thing is photography, I've had some great comments lately (including yours!) and I've never been brave (or silly!) enough to post it before so it's really given me the 'go' !  I really want to go out there and get loads done, but my camera just gave up the ghost!!

Thanks for checking in, Lou. Here's my latest: go to www.yourartshows.com  and click on Area Art Guides, then on Redding, CA. I've written a review for the site - one more "Google" item to add to the list.   I wonder when it will all come together and the buyers will find me.   Good luck with your own efforts.  Where do you have work on this forum, so I can reciprocate?

Nice to chat with you.

Merry Christmas !

Hiya

Thats great, it's good just to keep busy with it as it gets you somewhere in the end! It's only the blackhat stuff that risk you getting nowhere (great google rank within a few months then they ban you) but that doesn't happen to the honest of us! I just keep at it with one of my sites, my baby - nothing to do with art really - but that's the one that brings in some pennies, great at this time of year!

I don't think I posted here actually, I have posted on wetcanvas.com and that's where I can normally be found! My posts are photography which some artists aren't really interested in, I liked your work because I like modern and colourful art but not so interested in traditional oils etc

Anyhow, I do go on don't I !

Take it easy and have a lovely christmas, keep plugging when you have a half hour - it will all come together,

All the best

Good photography IS art!   Anyone really interested in art is interested in any kind of artistic expression, don't you think?    Check out the website I mentioned: www.yourartshows.com  and see Ann Beier's work (go to Gallery).  She's a photographer friend of mine who does some special work.  See what you think.

Merry Christmas to you too!

Hi again, Loubycee!  Just dropped in to say "hello". How's it going? I'm still spreading my name on the   "cyber-waves".  My latest attempt at earning is wwwebsitenhance.com.  No fame yet.  I'm not getting younger. Might have to settle for post-mortem fame (Van Gogh did it, why can't I!).   Must stay positive.  Let me know how you're doing. Enjoyed our Christmas chat.

Lorena
