You can see the original photograph, plus the finished painting. I sat the chair next to a window, then used a reflector for fill.  The new background was painted in to create greater interest.  This is pretty realistic, as much of my artwork is.  That's what my clients demand.  I have paintings that are looser than this one.  I used Painter IX.5 with the TruPaint brushes.  By the way this looks like a million bucks once the final medium was applied to the canvas.

That image is incredible, that's a great commision. Wish I could produce artwork that detailed.

Thanks for the input Martin.  I always appreciate the kudos I get, whether from a fellow artist or a client.  FYI, you can probably paint just as well.  Check out the work of all the other artists I've taught to use TruPaint on my website at www.trupaint.com. I give away Lesson #1 to the course, and you just pay a small amount to cover S&H. Some of the artists on my site have MFA degrees, but many are self-taught, as I am.
