I have painted a few pictures with "Paint " using the mouse I am wondering if they would be thought of as art . Do not want to put any here just in case. I know they take me days to do one painting, I am slowly going cross eyed.. Hope to hear from someone  Thanks Isabella

Yes Isabella. I feel it is a form of art. Will be looking forward to seeing them. My hats off to you for taking the patients to paint on the compturer with a mouse. For me it is teadious and eye straining. I do llike to work with graphics though. Did you use paintshop?
I do however believe that computer art and art done with a paint brush or pencil two different catagories. I do both. That is just my perspective on the subject.

Johanna I do not have paintshop do not really know much about it I just use the mouse as you can see the paintings are very childlike, I make cards with them, or just send them to friends for fun. Here they are.

Thank you for showing your work. I think these are great. Your artist imagination shows in your work. It is not ease to draw with a mouse.
Keep on working at them. They are enjoyable. There are may program our there, such at GIMP that you can download for free and work with. One can do a lot with the applications that come with your scanner though. I think a combo of cut and paste along with a little paint brush goes a long way. You do nice work.

Wow! If you can do this with a mouse & Paint, I'd love to see what you can do with a pressure-sensitive tablet and some real painting software! I used a mouse when I first started painting digitally & it is soooo hard & takes soooo long that I was so thankful when someone told me about graphics tablets. You might want to look into them as I'm sure you'd love one.

PS - yes, your work is art and it's in the right forum here. I know you probably put more time and effort into your digital art than many colored pencil artists and they put in a lot! There are a lot of free software for digital art if you search a little. Pixia is one that I used to start with. It's a Japanese software & is a bit hard to learn but you can do some great stuff with it. Art Rage is another software that I heartily recommend - there's a free version that is real nice but the full version is only $20 or so & is well worth the price. It is really easy to learn & understand. It's not graphics software per se but painting software that allows you to get realistic paint strokes from brushes that handle very much like traditional brushes.

Gimp is free on the internet and get yourself a mouse pad and pen.
It helps a lot.
