Russ, Both of your paintings have a "seashore" feel about them. I can't explain it actually... I know that the subject is the beach, ocean, boats, lighthouses, but its not just that, its a feel. I guess its the coolness of the air and sea, the skys are even cool... I live by the shore in Jersey and this very much "feels" like what I see there! I believe a painting should leave you with an emotion, and not just be technically correct... (maybe that's because I am not schooled) but... Hope we see more!

Thanks for your comments! I definitely will be posting more artwork after the first of the year (after we move into our new home on December 30th!)

 I was born near the ocean in New Bedford, Mass. (The port where the Pequod sailed out of in "Moby Dick") so I know what you mean as far as the 'feel' of the seashore. Thanks again.

I am new to this site and have been browsing the postings. I am surprised that you have not received more responses to this work. I find it clean and very satisfying. I like your colors, your choice of subjects, and the way you put them together. This is good art.

Nice and light and I agree about the feel of the seashore. I like the way the fence draws you into the painting.

This painting is truly lovely. Could be almost anywhere such as Cape Cod. Very fresh and clean air is present here.
