This my most recent. Its a commission I did for my sister in law of her in laws from back in the day. The reference photos I had where black and white so I wanted to capture some of that in these. So I started with a very colorful painting and slowly toned it down towards the end. There are no layers of black or white in this painting. The texture is done with thick gels and twine dipped in Golden's GAC 400. The painting is done on hardboard panel and measures 8x10.

I should think your sister-in-law was very pleased with your painting. Having only a black and white to work from I think your flesh tone colors work very well with the dark background. Good job. Anneta
