Here's a scene of a little sail boat moored just off the end of a Cherry Grove dock on Fire Island.
The thin sliver of Long Island can be seen thru the thickening fog and mist as an approaching storm brews across the Great South Bay...it down poured moments later...some great lighting strikes too.
Any way, I always like the gray lighting effects like this before a storm. The actual painting seems a little darker over the island befind the boat then what shows up here...must be the camara.
This will probably be a cover for the "Fire Island Tide Newspaper" next summer...since that's what I painted it for. |
