This painting is done on stretched steer hide.  It's roughly 39 x 39 inches tall/wide.  I'm fascinated by American Indian history, and love to learn the stories of their culture.

What do you think of this one?  I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy trying to get ready for two art shows, and I 've got three babies in diapers...I'm suprised I can even remember what a paintbrush is! =)

Shellshocked Art

Suzanne,   How creative you are!!   You won't hold on to this for long; it will sell quickly, I predict.  Where I live in North Carolina Indian art is very popular.  I live near Lumberton, NC.  Have you ever heard of the Lumbee Indians?  There are two "tribes" ( can't think of the name of the other one ) that live in this area.   Have you ever painted on gourds?  They have a wonderful "woody" surface.

Thanks for the kind words, I do paint on gourds, isn't that a hoot?  I've got another picture to put up today if  I get a chance...we'll see.  I hope this one sells quickly,  I have it on Etsy.com, my booth name is Shellshocked.
