A real challenge, this one. Butta, with a little discipline in the "paint-what-you-see" arena, (rather than what I think it should look like), frustration was minimized and I learned something! Roses are made up of nearly straight lines and angles in amongst all the curves. Cool.
As usual, I lost the background in the photo - there are horizontal patches of some of the darkest greens - and some of the detail of the stem were lost too - but this should give you a good idea.
