Sorry, I put this painting under the welcome wagon, I guess I should have put it here instead...It's an 8x10 acrylic on watercolor/unstretched canvas paper. Please let me know what you think, good or bad, thanks! Laurie

I LIKE it!
The red eyes are questionable in my opinion, but the rest of it is very well executed! It has a life like appearence, which is something I appreciate in wildlife art...

Laurie, I saw this in the welcome wagon, nice work! I like the dark vs light and your a pretty good hand with the brush.

the Eurasian owl does have red eyes....always a shocker when i see em....but they might be a bit chilling in this...hehee...love the dark bg...and you did a nice job on those dern taloned toes which isnt easy to pull off!

Thanks for the input everyone! I gave the owl to my brother for a Christmas present, and he really seemed to enjoy it...Thanks One Who Sees for the proper name; I've been searching the internet, but there are 162 species of owls, and I had not yet found the name!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe New Year!!!!!
