I figure this is about the right time to show this painting, which was created for the "Holiday Themed Exhibition" at Salmagundi last year and ended up winning the "Second Certificate of Merit"

It'll probably be my Christmas Card for this year...at least I don't have to paint anything new for that.

Really cool work. You could have this printed and turn this into your own
Christmas wrapping paper.

WOW, that's really a very striking painting, clever use of form and space.
You captured the glass like qualities very nicely.
The reflections are wonderful!

This will make an excellent Christmas card, John. I love the colors and I think I recognize some of those ornaments!! Nicely done.

Thanks everyone.
I just re photographed it for printing and then took the painting to Christopher Gallery in Stony Brook for their winter theme show which opens this Sunday....which I wont be able to attend, I have a prior engagement
Now I don't expect this painting to actually sell, but it'll be great for display.....I did tell Chris to put it in the window for the holidays. If he does so or not is up to him.
He has about 5 other winter theme landscape type paintings, one of which sold already.
It's always good when something sell before the opening of a show

LOL Sheila, this painting is never going to sell...a few peopel were interested however...until they heard the price.
Christopher did place it in the window like I suggested...he also placed a wreath around it...it looks really cool.
I didn't have my camera with me when I was there last Thursday (had to drop off another painting since a few sold from the show) but plan on going there again this weekend to photogragh the window...it looked that good, I need to record it!!!

Again...this is really joyful...and that's a high complement I think!

You must be proud that it's in the window!!
