My second P-Town painting...which is going to be shown first at Salmagundi Art Club during the "Thumb-Box" Exhibition...so if it sell's I'll do a slightly larger version of it.

Thoughtful composition and execution.
You must have some sailors in your genes- your seashore paintings seem to come naturally.

Your beach work is always so well done.
You have a lot more patience than I do.

This is wonderful John, I love the colors. It is very serene feeling. The rocks in the foreground are well done.

Bill: Ah, I love the ocean and beaches, spend too much time there in the summer. Is there such a thing as too much time on the beach?

Jim: Patience? More like insantity! No, not really, I just love what I do.

Kim: Thank you...I liked the way this looks compositionally too.

Sue: Yeah I like the rocks too, they were fun to paint and surprisingly easier then I thought!
I had more problems working out how to get the color right for the water puddles in the wet sand by the sail boat...the painting was just a tad too small for me. Thank God there's no more Miniature painting shows this year!!!!

Actually Betty, I live many bridges away...and over at least one sound...on Long Island, that's home for me.
I vacation in P-town a lot and will be showing there next summer.

This is great. I particularly like the way the way you have blended the background colours. Arlene Babad
