This is the last of my floral series for while. This one almost met death by gesso several times. I couldn't get a composition that worked for me, but it didn't seem to want to die, and I'm glad I stayed with it.

Now it's on to new subjects!

I have really enjoyed this series. Of all the many works I have seen and admired on this site and WC these are what I would put my hand in my pocket for. It would be lovely to see them all together. I have looked up the book on Manet you mentioned as your influence and as wonderful as his are, I prefer yours. Its been an education seeing how to you have been influenced and inspired but done your own thing. Absolutely exquisite. I hope you next subject is as successfull.
