This is something i painted a while back, it's very local to where I live, only few blocks away by the fishing companies.

It's actually a winter scene. If you look beyond the buoy's, you'll see snow on the bulkheads in the background...always surprises everyone.

Excellent detail work on the water, and the shadow area
under the far dock. The close up detail of the bouys and
the wood is amazing also. The shadow areas on the pole
are very impressive.

Beautiful. The water is bright and inviting. The painting really captured and held my attention.

Wow, this caught my eye because it's so bold, like a photograph. Superb.

Thank you all...the buoy's and wood grains were the easy part...the water was a challenge and the rope was a nightmare!

Jim,
The picture is great and you got the rope just right, but the bouys look flat. They pop out but don't look spherical. The water is better than it has to be and it takes the spotlight off of the bouys and rope.

Phil, you really have to see this painting in person.
It is 20" X 30" and when reduced to this small size, it just doesn't do it any justice.

Very well done. Lots of color and great composition!
