JM This is another great painting. I love the angel of the street! I wouldn't have thought to paint it from that particular angle, but it works very well. As usual, your detail work is outstanding...........Good luck with the other paintings. Gene

Hi JM: Another great, unbelievably detailed painting. Why do you do a series, are they commissioned pieces?

I'll look forward to seeing the rest of the series..

-Thank you Jess!

-Gene, the angle isn't that strange, it's a view looking up a hill.

-Hal, The series is for a collection of my work that is going to be shown in Provincetown next summer. A friend of mine owns a business called Monty's of Provincetown.
He travels the world finding artisans that create unusual types of glassware, pottery, and metal works...things of that nature.
He's been wanting me to get up there to show work for years now and has offered me some wall space for next season.
He likes the idea of a non resident artist painting local scenes...my view of the area.
I've been vacationing there for years now, he thinks I would be perfect for this since I know the area well and have a certain love for it.
There's a school of thought for painting in that area, mine style would be different then what's in most of the local galleries.
I figure 6 to 8, maybe 10 paintings in various sizes should be good for starters.
Plus it'll give me an excuse to go up there a few times over the summer

Oh. Oh, I LOVE this! I have a thing for old houses, particularly New England old houses. This is beautiful work!
