After five years, I've finally finished painting #100. It is a 12"x36" acrylic on stretched canvas. A VERY large format for me! It is titled, "Dry-docked at the Old, South Lubec Road Car-Wash". So many lobster boats have been pulled out of the water the last few years, because of high costs and fuel oil prices. This beautiful boat has been sitting in a field for at least five years. Started it in April, and painted off and on until the beginning of October. A labor of love.

I really like this one. The boat came out great. You really captured the shape. The colors are also nice. The red boat on the green grass males for a pleasing contrasr.

Thank you for the positive feedback about my colors. I'm afraid that "colors" selection is an area in which I will working to improve. I use too many of them, but in my next 100 paintings, I'll be working on "See, Simplify, and State" skills. Art is a process, and I'm enjoying going through it one canvas at a time.
