I've tried to listen and learn, this is my new version. The grass has been made less strident, and a little more green. I really think it's an improvement. I want to thank you all again, and now I need to know if I really improved this piece based on your comments.

I just love this.

The sky, water and the color in the trees is just great.
Very well done. I'm just not sure of your reflections.
I'm guessing the mass between the trees and the waterline
is land. I think it would look better a little lighter to give it a little
more separation from the trees. Just an idea.

Beautiful painting! I love that glassy water! I agree with Jim about the landlines in the foreground. I don't usually see mutilcolored grass.....I like the grassy field in the distance, maybe the foreground would translate better if it were more green/yellow too. I really like this one very much

I knew that there was something not quite right. Having such good critics is a joy and a learning experience. I love it, and this painting is back on the easel for remediation. I'll repost it after I make some changes, and you can tell me if I got it right.

Thankyou both

I love the colours and the feel of autumn. I did think that edges of the mountain shape in the background were somewhat hard. Arlene Babad

Hi Arl

I reposted this work with some changes, but too late to incorporate your suggestion. Perhaps I will get to it. If not, Thanks for your kind comments, and suggestions.

Burt, this is fantastic! I love your vivid colors. You did a wonderful job on the perspective, the background hills are perfect. This looks like a lovely peaceful place.

Brilliant colors! I didn't see the first one, but this painting made me say "oh, wow". You inspire me to be able to achieve the vividness I seek in acrylic painting. I'd love to see more of your work. Do you have a website?

I had an exhibit in Lexington Ma. and one orf the other exhibitors told me about this site. www.etsy.com. it looks like a good place to post work. I have a personal address, www.burtkenty.etsy.com and I have posted several paintings. I think this is an opportunity address for very little $.

Thanks for the kind comments

Right next to Kezar Falls? And over the border to Freedom? I used to live there and if I had my way (and finances) I'd live there again.

Yes the colors are great. I'm timid about color but much study is helping. Any groups up there to get involved with? I find them motivating.
