First of all, this is not the greatest picture, it was actually scanned in 4 different sections, then put together in Photoshop. I REALLY need to invest in a good digital camera! Anyway, this was a commissioned piece. The little boy takes part in Civil War reenactment events, and his mother had a beautiful photo that she wanted painted. Feedback welcome ... Hi Bosley Art: I'm not on here that often lately, but tune in once in a while to see what's being posted. I really like both of your paintings, This one and Christine and Todd. Very nicely done. If I can ask, how much does the average commission of that type and size cost the client? Or how do you charge, is there a set scale. Never having sold any paintings, I wouldn't know what to ask. Thanks for any input. Hal

Hi Bosley, this is a great piece. I sympathise with your scan and merge problem, as I am having to resort to it myself while the digital camera is in the repair shop! It really doesn't help the paintings does it? I think the mother will be extremely pleased with this result. Well done! Sue

DJ, did this painting of my son for me and it moved me to tears, it is so realistic. If it's possible, the painting is event better than the picture, that I gave him to do the painting from. Thanks, DJ
