These trees are a variety of Gum tree. They grow throughout Australia and all are slightly different depending on the region. The trees I have depicted are growing in a plantation (wind break) on the southern coastline in Victoria Australia. My version is a more decorative approach to the subject Materials: Matisse Acrylics on gallery wrapped canvas...size 20" x16"

Hi Sandy, I like this. It is amazing how so many varieties of plants and animals there are, all growing differently depending on climate and other factors. It does not seem they would make much of a windbreak!! I love the paths, are they animal trails?

Hi Sue, Thanks for commenting. These trees have a pretty hard time . just over the rise is the southern ocean. The paths are made by humans and possibly animals as well. Sandy

I love this for its simplicity. I love the deep greens you have in the underside of the green growth. Very nice.................Gene By the way, what did you do to get your image to upload the second time? I am having a hard time posting anything because the image doesn't always come up. Jim recently posted my Basilica of St. Adalbert for me..........the same photo that was rejected when I tried.............Don't know what is happening.................Thanks for any information you can give me...

Hi Gene, Thanks for commenting I am pleased you like how I treated these trees. I am thinking of doing a series of three...but next time smaller and in gouache (I think) Re uploading...In the first post, I made a mistake in trying to use "Photobucket". It doesn't seem to work on this site. I then just went down to "Browse" at the bottom of this page and brought up my own file from my pc. Sandy
