I have been trying to post my recent acrylic painting.  I hope it gets through.  It is acrylic on canvas, 24 x 30 and done in the studio from photographs that I took on my visit to the Biltmore Estates in Carolina.

Hopefully it will get through

WOW! Nice work Phil! I love the work on the rocks in the foreground. The reflections of the trees in the dark water....should the grass be reflected too?

I like this one, too. Especially the water. I also wondered about the reflections of the grass in the lake. Perhaps we just aren't seeing it on our monitors. Wish I could use my "Magnifying" or enlarging tool on these postings..........Gene

Hi,

I did reflect the grass in the lake, but I guess it doesn't show too well on this reduced photograph.  And thank you all for the wonderful compliments.

Hi, Phil! I learned a trick from Gene in another post. He said that he if he tilts his laptop forward he can see the painting differently. I don't have a laptop, so I tried standing up and looking down slightly at my monitor, and Gene was right!!! I did it here, and I was able to see your grass reflected in the lake. Great painting!

Hi Phil,

The colors are beautiful, and a really nice job on the water.

Jodi, (and Gene) thanks for that tip about the monitor. I tried tipping my monitor and I was also able to see the grass reflection. Sorry Phil!

Phil this is quite lovely. I love the bricks and rocks in the foreground and the water looks ready to dip my toes.
