Hello Everyone,

Hope all have been having a fabulous summer this far..I know I have...I'm tanner then burnt umber!

Which doesn't mean I haven't been painting, just means I've been spending far too much time on the beach....and since the summer is the only time I can go to the beach...well, you know how it is.

I've done a few paintings since I last posted and sold a few at various shows. Not too bad so far this year, a little slow, but not every year can be great.

Here's a recent painting...The Fire Island Lighthouse, 16" x 20" Acrylic on canvas.

I think I've painted the Fire Island Lighthouse two dozen times or more in my life and everyone of them sells.

I was recently up in Provincetown for vacation and did some sketching and photography of Long Point Lighthouse close to Herring Cove Beach (done one painting of that years ago) and Highland Lighthouse, so I'll be working on those eventually.

I've never painted the Montauk Lighthouse, but I do have some great study photo's of it.

While taking the Ferry from Orient Point, NY to New London Ct, the boat passed fairly close to Orient Point (The Coffee Pot) Lighthouse so I filially was able to take some good pictures of it.

I always wanted to do a painting of that. it looks so lonely out there on those rocks.
