Hi:

My name is Sandi and I 've just joined the forum. I did this painting in acrylic on 14"x18" canvas panel in 2004. This is a tribute to the West (and Midwest) where I lived for over thirty  years. I moved from Colorado to Florida in March of 2004 after my early retirement. I  missed the blue skies, the mountains and the planes, and the place where the rodeo shows rule the fairgrounds, so I sat down and started this painting.

The colors seem like they are washed-out but in fact that is caused by the varnish. I took the picture after I applied the varnish. The real painting is a lot more true colors and a lot sharper.
