This is 8" X 8" acrylic on deep gallery wrapped canvas which extends around the sides to give an almost 3D effect.  I would appreciate any comments and critiques.

Wow, this is lovely.  I really like the soft, almost misty background.  Very nice.

I like it very much. It's beautiful....yet the dark color in the tree bark and grass give it an almost creepy feeling. Nice work Sue:0)

I've been looking at this one since you put it up, but had not commented on it. A very
well done painting, yet something about it was keeping me from saying anything. Then
I read Jess's comment and it hit me. It is dark, almost like it's sitting at the edge of a gravyard.
This Dogwood tree is the biggest one I've seen too. It looks like it's on steroids compared to mine.
Is this one at your home? Nice almost foggy affect in the background. Like it's going to get dark and the
tree is going to come to life or something.

This is just beautiful, Sue. It has a soft dreamy quality about it. I love the mystery of the misty background behind the old tree. Great work.

I really like the way the tree trunk is angled off and supports the branches, it makes the whole composition come together. The colors are also very nice. I can't see how it could be any better.

One of my favorite trees and you did a wonderful job of capturing it on canvas...now if mine only looked like that I'd be in the local garden club!
