I have many fond memories of my childhood in the fifties. My father lived with a camera in his hands at all times and captured constantly wonderful moments in time. The inspiration for this painting is from one of his memorable photographs. On this particular hot summer day, my cousins and I were cooling down poolside. We did not have air conditioning but as you can see, no one seemed to mind.
