| Sunset Sue, I hesitate to respond because I think what I'm seeing is a result of the photo because on my end it looks a bit pixelated. I like your use of the paintbrush and textures you give to your paintings. When I took my first glance, the road jumped out. Taking that, I tried to evaluate the intensity (which appears to be too intense at first glance), and then noticed how you incorporated that same color in the fields/flowers which gives unity. So maybe it's not the road...maybe it stands out strongly because the house repeats the same colors that are in the mountains and sky. I'm wondering if the roof was enhanced to be as bold as the road, and the mountains a little lighter/faded to give more distance, if that would help. You are very good at capturing calming scenes that transfer to the viewer. I look forward to seeing more of your works. |
