I have a tough issue I am dealing with. This might not be the place for it but I cant really confront any of my gallery owners with the issue. About two years ago I got a freind into the art world and he has been practicing painting alot since then. I recently discovered that he has been using a program that takes a picture and turn into whats called a "colorbook". This takes the outline of the taken picture and draws it out and he paints in the colors. He has done many works of buildings in our small town and has led everyone to believe that he has painted these straight up. They are in the museums and in a few galleries and has recieved much acclaim for them. I see now how he did it. I let him take my idea of doing the historical buildings in town and he has let me down by preety much faking them with the colorbook. He has become ego-tistical and unchristian in his ways and I am convinced i should expose him. Will this ruin him? I hate to think it but he is making serious money on a lie and I am very disturbed that he has taken advantage of the town people like this. He indeed is my freind but I have worked hard for what little recognition I have, of course reconition is not my goal either. Should I let him slide? Is this really a big deal? Check this link and I hope I can trust everyone who reads this that no one will expose him and let me work with him and resolve this with his integrity intact. He means no harm but does not respect art the way he should
