    Wow, I am stoked!!
Finally heard back from a local Co-op art gallery. They want me to bring in 5 pieces of my art to jury to see if I can be a member. It can only be pieces that can be hung by a wire strung on the back. I have a few of those, but most of my work is in frames that have a small bracket to hang by in the back. I'll have to do some innovating this weekend. I'm just excited at the opportunity to get my work some local exposure.

Thank you Johanna & Justine. I'll keep you informed.
Now I just need to pick which five to be juried. If you get the
chance, look at by website and let me know which ones you would
choose.
Thanks!

Josephinium
Fantasy Forest
Silent Vigil
Nautilus Shell
Piering at Seattle

These would be my pick, they are well done, they look like you had confidence in them, they have great colors, values, compositions. Sounds like you don't have lots of time to work on your art but being in this type of gallery will push you to want to accomplish more with your work and to create more time for yourself.
Best of luck! Keep us posted!

Found out last night...I'm in!!!!
I go in Saturday to finalize things and get my
six paintings hung. I'm glad I brought a pastel
with me or I would of had to go through the jury
process on that too! The six I chose were:
1. Childhood Memories
2. Fantasy Forest
3. Reflections
4. Baby Seal
5. Taiko Drummers
6. Pine Street, Seattle
Thanks to all who suggested paintings to take.

Thanks Pablo,
Just got back from setting up my paintings! It's still hard to believe I'm
in a gallery! I can have six paintings up at one time and the galleries rotate
every two months to different parts of the gallery. I will also be put into a separate rotation for exposure in
a State office, a car dealership, and two banks! This is so cool! Got to get some
business cards made up now to put out.
Thanks to all who commented here too!!

Jim - Congratulations - It must feel absolutely great to be able to show your paintings. I was looking at your website and I think you made some great choices. I have to mention Boyhood Memories, Cover Up and Sleeping Child is really great too. Too many to choose.

Hi Maggie,
Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.
I'm looking forward to the 1st meeting. The artists meet the first
Tuesday of each month. There are 22 total artists all with varying styles
and mediums. What a great enviroment to get to pick other artists minds
and learn new ways of creating art. The forums are great, but sometimes the
instant feedback is what you need.
Thanks again,
Jim
