I'm trying to obtain names and addresses of working artists in my area.  I want to survey for interest in starting an open studio concept.  My idea is to provide space where artists can work and exhibit their work...sort of a mini-Torpedo Factory...(very mini).  What's the best way to obtain an artist's directory so that I can survey for interested artists?  I live near the coastal area of NC.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
