Hello, I am trying to get my pet portraiture business up and running. I would like to set up brochures at businesses which cater to people who own pets. I am looking for someplace to buy those clear plastic brochure holders. I live in central Mass, but any place that sells and ships them would be fine. I also would like to find a place that sells bussness card holders. Lastly, where coudl I get cheap manilla envelopes of various sizes to send prints. Thanks for yur help.

Hello Laurie, you can get these at nearly all Office Supply houses, Office Depot is only one of those. As a plastics dealer, I can tell you that there are the cheap, run of the mill brochure holders and bus. card holders from your office box store. Or,you can look online for some of the really nice stuff that has some style to it. It might not be the cheapest, but you only get one chance to make a first impression... Look up acrylic desk accessories on google. Make sure you use the word "acrylic"

Oh forgot to mention that I used to do pet and livestock portraiture for a living. You are on the right track getting your brochures in vet offices, feed stores, grooming houses, etc. Dont forget to keep a list of your clients with photos of the artwork. Some of my customers were repeat customers and one time one ptg was destroyed and had to be repainted- it was helpful to have a photo for reference. I also ran into a problem of people wanting me to duplicate a professional photographer's work more than once, which I solved by only using my own photos or those taken by the client themselves. The worst was when people wanted art for promoting their animal for breeding, and wanted me to "fudge" conformation defects so their animal appeared better than it was. That only happened once, but talk about awkward... Anyway, may you have great rewards from this endeavor!

hello laurie, I saw some of those brochure holders at staples and different sizes at officemax. They were the clear acrylic ones. Hope this is what your looking for.
