Hi Howard,

Just logged on to this site for the first time. I live in SW Florida. I've made my living as a professional artist for most of my life. I have since become disabled by a chronic illness (MS) and have been having a hard time adjusting to what I can do now as opposed to what I was able to do before. It is certainly a journey. I've had to loosen up. Not able to do tight renderings due to tremors and loss of small motor skills. Not able to use scaffold and ladders for large murals. Not able to mix colors as well due to optic neuritis. And of course not being able to sit or stand for any length of time. Changing media, sizes and expectations has been my challenge but I'm determined to continue to find my new voice in my new way.

Meeting with and supporting other artists that face similar challenges would be a wonderful thing for all involved. I'd like to hear about your gallery and studio, and from other artists with disabilities.

Cathy

Hoitel doesn't seem to be responding here, must have been a blanket email to lots of sites, maybe by clicking on his profile and emailing would get a more informed response.

I'm disabled and I think a gallery would be a good idea for those who are disabled.
