Does anyone have any suggestions about how to paint faster? Something I've noticed is that when business is booming - it's BOOMING - back to back events - and I still have work I need to finish! Help!

It doesn't work for everyone, but once way to establish values/masses quickly is to squint to blur your reference, then mass in the large shapes. Only attend to detail last. I should do this more often.
I don't know your media, but a knife is quicker if you can use it. I paint really fast with a knife ( i can paint a complete work in a few hours if I concetrate and all is going ass planned) and love to use one. you have to mix much more paint, but it covers in great swathes (I love that word!!) I place white in randomly with the blue(that is both in blobs on the canvas, and let them mix naturally) to form very soft white clouds/streaks. Sky done!! similar thing with land. If you cannot use a knife or prefer a brush, try applying your background with a rag, or even a strong wash.
You may also find you can do similar finishing of your peices at once, that is, all the edge tidying together, the varnishing, all the hanging prep, all the documentation/labels. Hope something here is of help. If I was where you were, I'd come over and help you out!!!
