USA/Florida

Hello,

I am a painter, photographer and mixed media amateur artist.  I nerly always work on hard surfaces (no canvas) like metal, MDF or self-made box frames.  I always marvel at other artwork that uses a very THICK, super clear, non-yellowing gloss/glaze (almost like those wood tables at bars but, of course, non yellowing).

Does anyone recommend a product(s) that is easy to use, multi-purpose (over acrylics, metal, and more surfaces) and self-levels so no brush marks show (completely clear and non-yellowing).  I imagine, depending on the thickness and texture of my work, that I may need to blow, with a straw, the bubbles out or lay the work on a vibrating platform (any other suggestions would be welcome).

I look forward to receiving any information and application tips.  Please include product names and where to buy them if possible (URL).

Thank you.

I have used a product from Lowe's that gave a thick finish and did not yellow. It's a resin, you mix it in 2 parts and it cost about $20...sorry, I don't have the manufacturer's name. I did use a straw to eliminate bubbles and the results were great.

In my search I heard there are products used in finishing boats (a resin I believe) that may work as well.
