I have tried a number of crackle media for acrylics but can't get any to work. What I am looking for is something that you may have tried that works when placed on top of a layer of acrylic be it golden, liquitex or others. any suggestions appreciated.

I have used a product by Delta that is two steps. Two bottles ,apply as directed to get a fine realistic crackle finish, then use an antique finish and the crackle shows up . Looks terrific!

You probably already know this, but just in case--the cracke medium has to have a color applied over it for the crackle to show up. ( The crackle medium is like the peanut butter in a peanutbutter sandwich.) There are alot of products and alot of crackle affects that are fun to work with, but a top coat of color is key.
