I have a painting i would like to do based on a dream i had, but usually i do a lot of photorealistic work based on photos. any advice on how to make it appear dreamlike, w/ watercolor. I am assuiming blurred edges etc but am not really sure? i may go for a realism approach if i have a hard time with it--but because it aws a dream i don't have a clear/ detailed image to refer to. One way to get a dream-like effect would be to paint wet into wet. If you use staining colors, you can re-wet
your paper after it dries, if you need to add more strokes or layers. I have been painting, teaching and selling my
work for over twenty years.
